Fiji Airways latest addition to the fleet, the brand new Airbus A330-300 took off for Auckland at 9:45am this morning and with the changing weather patterns in Nadi, it was a spectacular sight to see.

Passengers travelling to Auckland, New Zealand, will be the first to enjoy the luxury of Fiji Airways newest and largest aircraft in the fleet, with 313 seats in total – 289 seats in Economy and 24 in Business Class.

The ‘Island of Rotuma’ arrived in Fiji last Tuesday with President Jioji Konousi Konrote onboard the ferry flight from Toulouse Nadi and was followed by stunning on ground ceremonies.

The new plane features enhanced mood lighting, increased cargo space and a special quiet zone in Economy Class and fancy lay flat Business Class seats.

Today’s flight will be met upon landing, with much fan fair in Auckland with a fire truck water hydrant guard of honour.
